Learning to Live Together - A Conference on the Future of Citizenship and Human Rights Education in Europe

Around 300 representatives of governments, education institutions and civil society organisations will debate the future of citizenship and human rights education in Europe at a conference in Strasbourg on 20-22 June 2017.

The participants will discuss current challenges and opportunities in this area, share examples of good practices and lessons learned, and propose recommendations for future action, including specific criteria and mechanisms for evaluation of progress, in particular in the framework of the Council of Europe Charter on Citizenship and Human Rights Education.

The conclusions of the forthcoming Report on the State of Citizenship and Human Rights Education in Europe will provide the basis for discussion.
