Flash mob to celebrate democracy

Pupils, parents and teachers at the Ştefan cel Mare school in Chisinau, Moldova, marked the International Day of Democracy by organizing a flash mob.

The students wore posters on their chests to draw attention to concepts like solidarity, truth, inclusion, trust, respect, freedom, equality, dignity and diversity. More than 100 participants including pupils of the primary school, 8 teachers, 13 parents and 2 representatives from the INOVATICA-OPTIM - an NGO partnering with the lyceum took part.

“The flash mob was a way of bringing attention. In such a way we promoted democratic values and went out on the street in Chisinau together with our students” – noted the NGO representative, Ana Cerneva.
