Trainings for Youth Workers

Related to: 22 July and Democratic Citizenship

Youth workers, youth leaders and educators learn methods to combat hate speech and strengthen democratic competences among young people.


What: Training courses for youth workers, youth leaders and educators using Council of Europe manuals like Bookmark, We CAN! and others.  For an example of a completed training see Counter and Alternative Narratives to Hate Speech

For: Campaign activists, youth workers, youth leaders and educators active with young people on combatting hate speech through awareness-raising and educational activities. 

How: Training course at Utøya outside Oslo, followed by activities in their home countries using gained competences and skills.

Result: Develop participants’ competences to use to promote human rights and democratic values. Develop participants’ competences to use Council of Europe methods and approaches.
