Kidalova is Headmaster of the Methodology Department of the City Council in Melitopol, Ukraine, and a teacher of Ukrainian at Specialized school No23. She is a graduate of the Melitopol State Pedagogical Institute where she studied Ukrainian language and literature at the Department of English language and foreign literature. Kidalova coordinates the process of establishing and implementing projects and workshops on the topic of active citizenship, development of social competence and EDC/HRE competence and intercultural education. Ms. Kidlova participated at the Regional Summer Academy “Democracy at School” in Poland, 2012 and was co-trainer at the 2015 School for Democracy in Ukraine.

Peter Krapf

Peter Krapf was born in Oxford and was educated in the UK and Germany. He teaches citizenship and history at the Schubart-Gymnasium in Ulm, Germany, and trains teachers in citizenship education at the training college in Weingarten, Germany. Since 1996, he has been engaged in EDC/HRE teacher training projects, mainly in South Eastern Europe. He is co-editor of the series Living in Democracy.

Melinda Mula works at Kosova Education Center for more than 15 years as an educational expert and at the University of Prishtina, Mathematics Department for more than 20 years. She manages different in-service teacher trainer programs that are focused on professional development of teachers for implementing new methodologies in teaching and learning process and in integrating different human values, like anticorruption issues, democracy principles in various parts of the curriculum. She participated at the South East Europe Regional Summer Academy, "Human Rights in Action” in Montenegro, 2013 and the ToT EDC/HRE programme in Budapest 2016. As a co-trainer, she facilitated the Kosovo Academy for EDC/HRE in 2015. She is certified as a trainer for many in-service teacher training programs, such as: Reading and Writing for Critical Thinking, Mathematics and Teaching of Mathematics, Education against Corruption, EDC/HRE, etc. She graduated in Mathematics and holds a master degree in Mathematics, too.

Filip Car works as an English teacher at the 3rd Primary School Čakovec in Croatia. He participated at the South East Europe Regional Summer Academy, "Human Rights in Action” in Montenegro, 2013. He was also a member of the Croatian team in the Council of Europe pilot project Travel pass to democracy: supporting teachers for active citizenship. He is currently working on a project on peaceful conflict resolution together with partners from Slovenia. He has led several workshops on EDC/HRE cross-curricular implementation for English teachers and will be a co-trainer at the 2015 South East Europe Regional Summer Academy

Mr. Krrikyan is a Civil Society and Education Program Coordinator of Jinishian Memorial Foundation (JMF). His primary tasks include research, development, implementation, and management of the projects related to civil society/ education sector. He is actively involved as a trainer/ facilitator in EDC/HRE projects of JMF in schools and universities. He is a founder and a Board Member of Avedissian “Green” private school in Yerevan. Mr. Krrikyan, as a country coordinator and HRE training facilitator/ trainer was involved in EQUITAS’ (international human rights training organization, Canada) HRE regional program in Ukraine.

Veton Sylhasi is working as a program officer in a program for teacher professional development. He has been involved in various programs for professional development of teachers, school heads and other education stakeholders both at national and international level. His main area of expertise is EDC/HRE, development planning, education policies and research. He is also a human rights educator with young people and children and is a Director of Kosovar Association for Human and Children's Rights (KAHCR).

Prof. Dr. h.c. Rolf Gollob  is responsible for the acquisition and realisation of projects in the field of Democratic Citizenship and Human Rights Education at the Center IPE . Since 2008 Rolf Gollob is the Swiss National Coordinator for Education for Democratic Citizenship and Human Rights for the Council of Europe. For his 20 years engagement for teacher training and Education for Democratic Citizenship and Human Rights he received in December 2013 doctor honoris causa from "St Kliment Ohridski" University, Bitola – Macedonia.

Marzena Rafalska

Marzena Rafalska is an educational consultant at the In-Service Training Centre in Lomza, Poland. She is a specialist in civil and European education, a human rights trainer at the Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights, an EDC/HRE trainer at the Council of Europe, an HRE OSCE expert in Tajikistan, as well as an educator and a coach. She is a regular co-worker of the Centre for Education Development (ORE), Ministry of Education and Office of Children Rights Ombudsman. Rafalska is an author and a coordinator in many regional, national and international educational and social projects. Rafalska is a trainer for the Summer Academy in Poland since 2012.

Felisa Tibbitts

Felisa Tibbitts (Columbia University/Teachers College and Utrecht University) is a teacher training, researcher and policy advocate in the field of international and comparative education. Her areas of interest include human rights, peace and democratic (global) citizenship education; curriculum policy and reform; critical pedagogy; and education and social movements. Dr. Tibbitts is widely read in the field of human rights education and her scholarship has appeared in numerous books and journals.She has also written numerous manuals and practical resources for educators in cooperation inter-governmental organizations such as the Council of Europe, UNESCO and OSCE/ODIHR. She co-founded the NGO Human Rights Education Associates (HREA – www.hrea.org) which she directed from 1999-2011.

Dr.Tibbitts holds the UNESCO Chair in Human Rights in Higher Education at Utrecht University.

He has a PhD and is Professor and Head of Department of School Education at the Moscow Education Development Institute. Mr Ioffe has been a trainer at the Summer Academy “Democracy at School” in Poland since 2010.He is the author of social studies text-books and manuals for teachers.

Ulrike Wolff-Jontofsohn

Dr. Ulrike Wolff-Jontofsohn is a senior researcher and lecturer for Comparative and Intercultural Education at the Freie Universität Berlin and consultant on democratic school development and diversity for the Berlin Senate of Education, Sports and Youth. She was director of the in-service teacher training department at the Freiburg University of Education until 2008.

In the last ten years she has worked intensively as an expert and consultant on human rights education and school development for international organisations and for German ministries and foundations. She was a lead expert in the German school development programme “Learning and Living Democracy” (2001-2007) and is currently involved in a German pilot programme on “School development in Immigration Society” and in a new project on refugee integration.

Olena Styslavska is a teacher trainer and educational consultant in the field of Democratic Citizenship, Human Rights and Intercultural Education. She has developed, coordinated and implemented national and international training programmes for the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Poland, Polish Centre of Education Development, Community of Democracies, OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights and the Council of Europe. She has been a trainer in the Regional Summer Academy Programme since it was launched in 2010, being a head trainer for three editions in Poland and all editions in Montenegro. Her main strength is a practical EDC/HRE experience which she built during her 10 years of teaching at school. She is sure that education can change the world.

Angelos Vallianatos

Dr Angelos Vallianatos (PhD in Theology), is a school advisor for religion lessons and teacher trainer in the fields of Didactics, Intercultural Education, Human Rights and Democratic Citizenship. He has participated in Council of Europe and European Wergeland Center programmes as an expert and as a trainer (Pestalozzi seminars and modules, Summer Academies in Montenegro and Greece). He has authored, participated in authoring groups, developed and translated texts and educational material in the fields of his specialty. After 25 years in the class room, for the last 10 years he enjoys working in adult education and he persists in being optimistic about its peacemaking possibilities.
