The EWC, the Municipality of Oslo and the Council of
Europe are organizing a
study visit to Oslo as part of the programme
"Intercultural Cities" from
10-12 of March 2010.
The
"Intercultural Cities Programme" is a joint initiative between the Council of Europe (CoE)
and the European Commission (EC). 11 different cities from
11 CoE member states are participating.
The aim of the programme is to examine the impact of cultural diversity
and migration from each city's perspective, and to explore how the cities do and can work with diversity as a factor of development.
During the visit, the participants will be presented and able to discuss
various aspects of Oslo related to diversity, immigration and
democracy/democratic participation, both in education, politics and
business.
