Nigel Peter Michell Fancourt
Researcher
I currently balance working as a researcher with teaching pluralistic religious education in an English secondary school. My research focuses on the pedagogical tangle in RE classrooms, unravelling the contexts, e.g. school ethos, and the processes, e.g. assessment, that affect them.
To highlight recent and ongoing research activities, scholars and other education professionals are invited to publish their views on current research topics and scholarly debates in The EWC Statement Series.
Each year the EWC publish the collection of statements as a booklet, both as a printed and online version.
In co-operation with different partners, the EWC has started to work on an intercultural glossary project in the field of education for democratic citizenship, human rights and intercultural understanding.
The aim is to provide an online resource for education professionals offering definitions and discussions of key concepts, as well as methods for concept learning.
