A new practical toolkit published by Amnesty International in collaboration with ActionAid - Right to Education Project. It is part of the Haki Zetu handbook series on economic, social and cultural rights, developed by the Special Programme on Africa of Amnesty International Netherlands. It contains sections on understanding the right to education and on taking action, with a particular focus on Africa – providing concrete examples at national and regional levels and reference to relevant laws and policies.

New to the thoroughly updated 3rd English edition of the manual on human rights education are chapters reflecting current trends in human rights, including new modules on privacy (including challenges posed by internet use), minority rights and the right to asylum.

An innovative digital tool launched by Amnesty International: RespectMyRights is an online platform that aims to engage and inspire young people between the ages of 15-22 to learn about and take action against human rights violations and abuses that deepen and drive poverty.

The revised version of "COMPASS - Manual for Human Rights Education with Young People" has recently been published in English by the Council of Europe. It provides youth leaders, teachers and facilitators of human rights education activities, whether professional or volunteers, with concrete ideas and practical activities to engage, involve and motivate young people in living, learning and acting for human rights.

Just in time for the International Human Rights Day, the last film of the series "Focus Human Rights" was released 10 December 2012.The clip focuses on the third dimension of the Human Rights system, the collective rights. Those include -for example- the right to peace and the right to development. The film also shows how Human Rights can be enforced, how the Human Rights System evolves, and what the most important opportunities for improvement are.
