This Handbook on values for life in a democracy is structured around a series of key questions to promote discussion among young people about universal human rights and the implementation of core European values.

In 2007 Equitas hosted a two days International Human Rights Education Evaluation Symposium, jointly organized with the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights. The goal was to bring together practitioners in human rights education (HRE), and to share new ideas, knowledge, and practices to effectively evaluate HRE.

The European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) released a result report of its survey of over 23,000 individuals from ethnic minority and immigrant groups about their experiences of discrimination, racist crime, and policing in the EU. The results reveal shocking evidence about the discrimination faced by minorities in everyday life.

The European Union Fundamental Rights Agency (FRA) offers an awareness raising calendar for young people. The School Agenda, available in English, German and French, is intended to help young people to learn about fundamental rights issues in the EU in the classroom and at home.

The EU-wide study "Discover the past for the future" was released by the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights. It reveals that at historical sites and in schools across the EU, teaching about the Holocaust rarely includes discussion of related human rights issues.
