The Forum on Human Rights Education with and by young people was held in 2009. Over 200 participants reviewed the achievements of the HRE Youth Programme and outlined future strategies related to the program of the Directorate of Youth and Sport. The conclusions are summarized in a message to the Council of Europe.

This conference, held in Glasgow from March 4-5, 2010, brought together more than 170 stakeholders in the field of HRE/ EDC. Recommendations for policy makers and NGOs have been formulated, including the importance for mainstreaming citizenship education to increase social cohesion.

This manual includes a 4-6 hour simulation game which serves as an educational tool for understanding the political and social dynamics of the 1989 regime changes in Europe.

These fact sheets "Europe is more than you think", published by the Council of Europe, include issues such as human rights, social cohesion, cultural diversity and democracy. They aim to support secondary school teachers in their work.

“Education under Attack 2010” examines how conflict and violence continue to pose a direct threat to the goal of Education for All. Politically and ideologically motivated attacks on teachers, students and school buildings are worldwide on the rise. These attacks are perpetrated by non-state armed groups and state actors alike.
