Compasito is a starting point for educators, teachers and trainers who educates on human rights to children of 7-13 years.

Compass offers concrete ideas and practical activities to engage, involve and motivate young people to form a positive awareness of human rights in their own ways and in their own communities.

The revised version of "COMPASS - Manual for Human Rights Education with Young People" has recently been published in English by the Council of Europe. It provides youth leaders, teachers and facilitators of human rights education activities, whether professional or volunteers, with concrete ideas and practical activities to engage, involve and motivate young people in living, learning and acting for human rights.

The theme and main aim of the 2009 Lisbon Forum have been to promote the creation of a culture of human rights, through “quadrilogue” action, i.e. governments, parliamentarians, local and regional authorities and civil society.

This conference, held in Glasgow from March 4-5, 2010, brought together more than 170 stakeholders in the field of HRE/ EDC. Recommendations for policy makers and NGOs have been formulated, including the importance for mainstreaming citizenship education to increase social cohesion.
