11-12 March, 17 participants from 9 different cities participated in a study visit organized by the City of Oslo, together with the Council of Europe and The European Wergeland Centre. Besides speeches related to minority and integration issues in Norway, the participants discussed perspectives on integration with upper secondary school students at Elvebakken school.

The 2010 Summer Academy "Democracy at School" will take place from July 10-17, in Sulejówek/Warzaw. School heads, teachers, representatives of local NGOs, e.g. parents' associations from Eastern, Central and Northern Europe, and the Caucasus region can apply now! During the seminar "Religious Diversity in Intercultural Education" Prof. Jackson, the EWC Special Adviser, outlined international policy documents. A vivid discussion took place about opportunities and challenges when integrating religious diversity into educational practice.

The Global On-line Consultation, March 1-21, 2010, is a participatory process for all stakeholders of drafting a plan of action for the second phase of the World Programme for Human Rights Education (WPHRE). Among others, teacher training and higher education institutions are invited to contribute.

The European Inter-University Centre for Human Rights and Democratisation in Venice calls for applications for its inter-disciplinary European Master Programme in Human Rights and Democratisation for 2010/2011. Deadline for application is March 19, 2010.
