EWC Special Adviser Gunnar Mandt participated in a meeting within the framework of the Euro-Arab Dialogue in Strasbourg, France this month. The meeting was jointly organized by the Council of Europe and UNESCO. On the agenda was the presentation of country reports on national school textbooks and stereotypes.

Human Rights Education Association (HREA) is issuing a call for applications for e-learning courses offered in the second trimester of 2010 (April-July). There are still some places available. Application deadline is Thursday, 1 April 2010.

The project "Developing Competence-Oriented Teaching on Historical Memories" introduces the complexity of public memory and remembrance into history teaching at schools. Dr. Claudia Lenz from the EWC is one of the organizers.

The Global On-line Consultation is a participatory process for all stakeholders of drafting a plan of action for the second phase of the World Programme for Human Rights Education (WPHRE).
