On 3 December 2009, the 7th Meeting of the United Nations Inter-Agency Coordinating Committee “Human Rights Education in the School System” (UNIACC) was held in Geneva. The meeting was devoted to the evaluation of the 1st phase of the World Programme for Human Rights Education (2005-2009), which focused on primary and secondary schools, and the preparation of the 2nd phase of the Programme (2010-2014). The participants included representatives of the OHCHR, UNESCO and UNICEF. The Council of Europe was invited to the meeting of UNIACC with a special guest status.
