
Lars Gudmundson has a MA in History of Ideas and Political Sciences from the University of Oslo. He has wide experience from the Norwegian Ministry of Education and Research and the Norwegian Directorate for Education and Training that relates specifically to the Centre's main objectives: intercultural understanding, human rights and democratic citizenship. He was secretary of the "Bogstad committee" which reformed the Norwegian Education Act in 2006.
He has actively worked with issues concerning curricula and education about religion, as well as strategy plans promoting democratic citizenship in schools, and been responsible for developing guidance material for teachers as part of the "Knowledge Promotion Reform".
Lars starts working for EWC in September.
