The dreadful tragedy that took place in Norway on July 22 has shocked us all. Our thoughts go to the people that lost their lives in this horrific event, and to the many people that lost their loved ones. EWC wish to express our deepest sympathy. We have received numerous condolences from our colleagues around the world, and for that we are very grateful; thank you. It is of comfort during these hard times.

This tragedy demonstrates that the work that is being done in our field is more important than ever. As the Norwegian Prime Minister said “We will never give up on our values. Our answer is more democracy, more openness and more humanity”.
