
This Conference took place in Baku, Azerbaijan 7 - 9 April and gathered more than 400 participants from all over the world. Azerbaijan is on the crossroad of different cultures and religions, and
thus in a position of being a bridge between East and West, North and
South.
The forum addressed the policy, governance and practical challenges of intercultural dialogue.
It was the arena for sharing good practice and launch new initiatives to tackle the barriers of intercultural dialogue.
The forum was arranged by the Government of Azerbaijan, in cooperation with UNESCO, ISESCO, Alliance of Civilizations and Council of Europe.
The EWC had an active role in the forum: Ambassador Arif Mammadov, member of the EWC Board, chaired one of the sessions, and Special Adviser Gunnar Mandt
was rapporteur at another session.
